The nice, warm, sunny weather left us Wednesday, Sept. 13 and it started raining Sept. 14 and finally quit in the early hours of Sept. 18 leaving us with a little over two inches in the area. The sun shone part of the day and made it feel warmer. As I write this news there is a bit of fog rolling in but the sun is trying to shine. We did have a frost last night and I do not know how much damage it did.

Jim and Jan Shimek of Grandview Beach visited Karen and George Tripps Thursday afternoon, Sept. 14. En route home after a chiro treatment in Regina, Monday, Sept. 18, Karen stopped to visit their summer dwelling they are renovating. Wednesday, Jim and Jan returned home to White Rock B.C. for the winter. They have been at Grandview Beach since the end of May and like the area and people very much. They wish to do more exploring next year. Jim and Jan were also very impressed with the Liberty homecoming cairn.
